Method
Pressure cook dhal with water. Mash the cooked dhal and add cut vegetables, onion, tomato, salt and water as required. Cook till all the vegetables are cooked well. Then add tamarind juice and Aksa Sambar Powder and boil it for 5-10 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves in it. Add this to Sambar and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves for more taste.
Ingredients
- Toor dhal – ½ cup
- Aksa Sambar Powder – 3 tbsp
- Mixed vegetables-11/2 cup cut into medium size
- Tomato-1 no. cut into medium size
- Onion – 1 no. cut into medium size
- Curry Leaves- as required
- Tamarind Juice-1 fistful
- Cooking Oil -as required
- Mustard seeds – 1tsp
- Red Chilly – 2 no.s
- Coriander leaves-as required
- Salt-as required
